All the times that has required me to look for project information I used google search. This kind of search is helpful when you double check information and many times they also have good articles from organizations. But lately while looking for reliable documents I have used Denver Public Schools website called lion to look for scholarly articles. I have also used other library websites that have documents stored in their database. Although I have found the information that I have needed the were hard thing about finding information like when you look for a specific topic, many things that are related but don't give you the information you need make the search more wide in different places. It helps reading this articles that talk about your topic but when you need last minute information this kind of information frustrates me.
The time I spent in library research helped me in my researching skills by showing me what kinds of information is reliable depending in DOCTOr. This will be very useful when you do serious work that will require you to verify over and over the information that you have acquired. The plagiarism lesson was more of a refresher since I already knew some basic elements like citing in and out of text. But I learned what kinds of things require citation and how to identify plagiarism. I not only learned a lot but also had a lot of in class activities about what the lesson taught us.

No need for books
Regarding the quote "Since everything is on the internet,I don't need books.....right?" I believe that this is becoming part of a lot of people's life but is not necessarily true. Reading books is more comfortable through the actual possession of the book. And if it's required you can cite things it's better to have the book to skin important information. It is easier because you have instant internet right away and the book you might have to buy it or find it. In many cases it is difficult to find certain book and that's when the internet comes in handy. The internet is very useful to verify facts and information that is already known. But will never be replaced because the internet is not a reliable source and often times is not useful. Besides there's a large industry in the book production and selling that it will affect it like Ipods and electronic music storages have done to CD which are not of much concern because education is not involved in the selling of CD's.Besides this it's difficult for third and even second world countries to get access to a computer and internet. This makes books a better source of information that can be reused by multiple people over time and does not require to be paying a fee for internet. For instance if there were to be a computer setting in a rural area or third world country, students would have to get some sort of transportation to get to a computer, but books would have made it more easy and less time consuming to find a computer in a case like this.
Health issues will also be involved in the competition of books against internet because books are less harmful to your eyes since they have the natural lighting of the sun and not contrast and brightness settings like computers do.

Librarians
From what I have experienced in my high school and in public libraries, librarians have an extended amount of work. They not only sign in and check out books some are also in charge of doing check in and check outs and organizing the returned and misplaced books in the right shelf. Also, they need to set up accounts for new students who might need to sign out books or log into the computer lab. They're there to order new books and help find books and set up systems to find books easily. Librarians do all this and save a lot of valuable to students who only have brief amounts of time to complete long projects. Most importantly they are there to teach you how to use researching tools and answer any questions asked regarding their library. I think librarians already do as much work as they can but if they had a Ipod touch kind of device for students to check in and out books by themselves it would be cool and less work. In the future I picture libraries that have a mechanism where you have find the book and an automatic machine will bring it out of its shelf and brings it to you. If this does happen library structure will be tall with shelves hanging or suspending in the roof all over the place. I think this might only happen if people start being active and walking up to get a book from a shelf in the library is not their only exercise.

Library research assignment 1
My college study will be focused with engineering, for the time being I have no clear vision of what specific type of engineering.I will also seek for a secondary emphasis in a medical career. My choice in this field are very broad because I like most medical careers. The reason for my choices is that math is my favorite subject and I love working with math related problems.I was thinking about doing nuclear engineer but the nuclear part sound dangerous and aerospace engineer is exciting as well. As of medicine, I am elated at how our body works and how every single part of us has a purpose and I want to know all about this and want to tell people how to take care of themselves to live longer and healthy .PCHCP will be very helpful in with college experience that I'm having and it will give me a look of what awaits me in a medical career. Also I will be instructed by people who are majoring in medical careers and can give a description of how it went for them choosing that career. Another thing is that well have the opportunity to dissect and do things that are only done in college. I think PCHCP will go in depth into the health careers and that will give me a heads up on how to manage and do things that are health related. Besides that I will get to know new people and spend time doing classes and things that I like.
